The Institute for Innovation and Technology (Korona plus d.o.o.) is innovatively oriented organisation with a mission of raising the level of companies' innovativeness, and especially young people, namely in close cooperation with the education system and economy. The Institute operates in cooperation with the network of topmost international experts from various fields who work within national and international research and development projects.

The Director of the Institute for Innovation and Technology is Borut Likar, an associate professor at the University of Primorska - Faculty of Management where he also worked as a Research & Development Vice-Dean. Borut Likar achieved his PhD in electro-technical sciences at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana and completed MBA studies at the IEDC - Bled School of Management. Moreover, Dr Likar is the author of many scientific and expert publications. He is an innovator, an initiator and the head of several successful applicative, technological and other national and EU projects as well as the author of countless patents, models and copyright works, which many proved to be extremely marketable. Borut Likar is the author of numerous books primarily from the field of innovation management and R&D as well as an initiator of numerous national and international R&D projects. He also works as an evaluator of not only national innovation projects but also EU R&D projects.
